I just got this SoundSpa today for my 8 month old son. He fights falling asleep every night, and tonight I had this on and he fell asleep in 5 minutes. I think the key is having the lights out, but typically he would cry if I turned out the lights. With this, he was so busy watching the images on the ceiling that he didn't notice-- plus I had it on the brightest setting, so it made the room not completely dark. I had it on with "Rock A Bye Baby" playing, and I sat in the rocking chair for 5 minutes and he was out. Then, after I put him in his crib I switched the music to "rain" and turned off the projection, and he is sleeping soundly! The music is wonderful, it sounds better (more clear)than I thought it would. It is very relaxing and soothing. And the rain and ocean sounds will be good, too, because I usually turn on a fan in his room in the morning to block out the noise that my husband makes when he's getting ready for work. Now it's too cold to have the fan on, so the other noises will provide the same effect and my son can sleep in peace. I highly recommend this item... After watching the images and listening to the music, I am actually relaxed and ready to sleep myself! Maybe I'll buy one of these for my bedroom, too! ha ha..

My MIL bought one of these used and my daughter absolutely LOVES it. As soon as she hears the music, she looks up to the ceiling for the projection. She prefers the lullabies and I like that it has several options. We had previously been using the Fisher-Price Aquarium for soothing her at bedtime, but this seems to work much better, plus it runs longer.
I love that it has the timer option and that it doesn't run on batteries.
It's compact enough to fit in the suitcase, so we will be taking this with us whenever we travel so that she has some of the comforts of home.
EDIT- The one my MIL bought used did stop working properly. The lights still project, but do not revolve. The sounds still work well. I bought a replacement one that has been working with no problems for many months now. I recommend this product to all my friends. It puts my almost 2 year old to sleep immediately.

My husband and I where looking for a musical night light for our 5mo old son and had done some research before coming across the soundspa lullaby.It's great! it has volume control and the projection slides are brightand clear in a dark room, you can also adjust the projector to shine on the wall instead of the ceiling. I would recommend this for anyone who has a small baby or child to help them go to sleep. Would like to see maybe more assorted discs for projector.

I have a son who is 19 months now. We received this item as a Christmas gift last year. Since then I have purchased it for every baby shower I get invited to. It is great! I love the fact that you can set the timer to go off at different times. Some nights he needs a little more time to wind down, so I will set it for 30 or 45 minutes instead of 15. Then at nap time I just let it play the whole time. When he was between the ages of 10 to 15 months, he would take 3 to 4 hour naps as long as his music was playing! It was great! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ITEM! Also, Amazon had the best price around.

I purchased this product when my son was a new born and it worked like a charm, just put him in bed and in minutes he is asleep. He is now 23 months and we use it everyday. The projector stopped turning several months ago but he likes it just as much. The music works great and we take it on every trip we go.
